Water Crisis in Pakistan after Taliban declared to build dam: Taliban declared to prepare two dams on the river flowing to Pakistan and India will support with infrastructure. This is the second master blow to Pakistan by the Indian diplomacy. After the Phalgam attack India has suspended the Indus water treaty and stopped any trade relation with Pakistan. But India is growing trade relation with Taliban government.

Taliban Declared to build two dams on two rivers: Pakistan who has once helped Taliban to build up the governance in Afghanistan is now under deep shock and terror by the growing trade relation between Taliban and India. Relationship and trade is growing strategically between Pakistan and India which is haunting Pakistan. Taliban declared to stop the water flow to Pakistan and build a dam across it with the help of India.

Huge Crisis of Water will come soon in Pakistan : Decision made by the Taliban government along with the support of Indian government to stop the water flow by the two river to Pakistan will bring food crisis in Pakistan. Pakistan is an agriculture based country where the major stake of GDP is from agriculture, upcoming water crisis will lead Pakistan economy to a very bad shape and there will be a food crisis.

After the Indian government has suspended the Indus water treaty due to the terror attack of Pakistan, they sometimes threatened India for the war and some government officials requested to withdraw the suspension, but Indian government was clear to his stand that the terror and the support can not go hand in hand.

Pakistan will have to stop the terror if they want support from Indian government. Now the next big move in the International diplomacy by Indian government is haunting them more because the Indian government has gone for the full support to Taliban government to build the dam across the two rivers.

The Taliban government plans to build the Lalandar Shahtoot Dam project on the Kabul River and the Kunar River. The Kabul River is called the lifeline of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Islamabad also uses Kabul river water. Pakistan gets 1718 billion cubic meters of water. India has announced financial assistance for this dam. It is being told that Afghanistan will build its own dam on the Kunar River.

You need to understand:

What is Lalandar Shahtoot Dam plan?

Why the Indian government is giving assistance to Taliban government?

What will be the consequences on Pakistan when the dam will be ready?

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and some regions of Punjab agriculture is dependent on the waterflow from the river Kabul. Kabul river water is also used for drinking water in Pakistan. Pakistan will face a deep crisis of water if the water from the Kabul river will be stopped alongside it will be a deep blow to the Pakistani agriculture which can cause to draught. Pakistan is also realizing the fact that  Taliban will create immense pressure on Pakistan politically by stopping the water.

Diplomatically, there was a treaty in between India and Pakistan for the Indus water but there is no such treaty in between Pakistan and Taliban so they have no objection in building a dam over it. If there will be no water flow to Pakistan from both the countries it will be a nightmare blow to Pakistan.

If India will not compromise with Pakistan on the Indus water treaty, which is 70-80% of water being used by Pakistan in agriculture, drinking water and hydropower project, and if the deal of the Kabul is fulfilled there will be an immense food crisis in Pakistan. With the Kabul dam project another 10% water will be cut which will result to 90% shortage of water in Pakistan.

India and Afghanistan trade relation is ready to explode: India and Afghanistan is looking ahead to grow trade relationship and support each other in the coming future.
